Chapter 71. We Have to Save Her

LIAM’S POV

I almost didn’t believe my eyes when I saw Dante coming back to his place, driving in with Adrian’s unconscious body and covered in blood. My first instinct was to call the police, and my heart dropped to my stomach because I’d been worried sick about Adeline, and instead of Dante driving back home with her, he was with Adrian’s unconscious body.

Without thinking, I get into my car and drive behind Dante.

“What the fuck happened? Why does he look like that? Is that freaking blood, and where the fuck is Adeline?” I throw questions at Dante per second, not even giving him time to respond between each second, but he doesn’t even look like he wants to answer me. He has a sinister and dangerous look on his face. A look that I’ve never seen before, and for the first time since I’ve known Dante, he looks dangerous and scary. He looks like a murderer, and from the redness and wetness in his eyes, I can tell something has gone extremely wrong.
