And now they were the ones even offering or suggesting it. It seemed surreal, almost as if it was a dream.
She chuckled in disbelief and then locked eyes with her mom. You see, she could see her dad and brother agreeing or wanting this, but could just not see her mom doing so.
The woman was beyond controlling and protective, and come to think of it, Anna didn’t think she meant it as a bad thing.
She knew her mom was just trying her best.
“Who’s idea was this? You guys be honest.”
“It was mine,” her mom replied, wiping the tears that had escaped her eyes. “And I’m not changing my mind. It’s time, dear. It’s high time that I let you leave the nest.”
Anna barely knew what to say. She actually had so much and her mind was going so many miles per hour but her mouth was just not cooperating. <
