Chapter 14. Precious Moments Together

Annabelle’s POV

I had fallen asleep after doing some last-minute packing. It was a little later when I woke up. Quickly changing into a black top and a pair of my favorite denim shorts, I went down for coffee. Stefan and Tristan had returned from the hospital and were busy on a conference call in the study. A little disappointed, I helped Martha prepare dinner. We had an early dinner and cleaned up as the men had theirs in the study. Going up to my room, I changed into my pajamas and lay down on my bed to watch a movie. I was so engrossed in the movie that I jumped up, startled out of my mind, when the bed dipped. I turned to see Stefan sitting beside me.

“Stefan?” “W-What are you d-doing in m-my room?” I stammered nervously.

“I wanted to update you on tomorrow’s plan. The others know, but you came upstairs early,” he said, reducing the volume of the TV.
