Chapter 22. Max's First Outing

I warmed up to Max naturally. With his green eyes and brown hair, he looked more like me than Cassie, and I couldn’t be more glad. It was as if he was actually my blood, my baby boy! He called me ‘Daddy’ with his baby eyes full of love and adoration. It melted my heart and made me thankful to have him in my life. I was furious with what Desmond had done to Cassie, but I left the sore topic. I never asked her anything, as it pained her to talk about it.
