Chapter 49. A Different Wedding Night
Julian’s POV
“Why don’t you rest?” I asked Cassie, seeing her pale face. After the wedding, she really was exhausted and needed the rest. It was late afternoon, and the sun was about to set. Mom had insisted that we spend a few days here since we weren’t going on a honeymoon. I agreed to see that Max was so happy here that he didn’t cling to Cassie anymore. She could get some rest.
“Why don’t you change into something comfortable and sleep for a while, Cassie?” I asked her tenderly. She looked up at me and nodded.
“Are you sure? I mean, today’s our wedding night after all,” she reminded me shyly. I smiled. As if I had forgotten, but with her so exhausted, I couldn’t think of enjoying my wedding night.
“We can have a wedding night every night. Why don’t you rest for a while? If you’re feeling better, we can still have our wedding night,” I said with a wink. Cassie smiled and got up to change. I left her and went out to enjoy a drink with my brothers.
