Cassandra’s POV

The days spent at Mom and Dad’s house were happy moments indeed for us. We walked hand in hand along the beach, discussing the last time we were there. Julian had gifted me a car before we arrived here, and I loved it immensely. It was my first and only car. I never had the money to buy a car for myself. I gave him a personalized bracelet with the message ‘Cassie Loves You’ engraved on it. The gift bowled him over. 

After an evening of celebration, Julian whisked me away toward our bedroom. I had already fed and tucked Meryl in her cot in the nursery with Nora to look after her. Max and Arielle were also sleeping there as well.

“Finally, let’s pretend that it’s our wedding night,” he said with excitement dancing in his eyes. I chuckled.

“Why do we have to pretend? It’s our wedding anniversary night,” I pointed out with a chuckle.
