Chapter 18. Another Passionate Kiss

Amelia’s POV

“What are you doing here?” I asked with my heart thumping hard in my chest.

“I had forgotten something behind,” he said with a strange expression on his face.

“What did you forget, Jay? I found nothing,” I said, looking around for whatever it was he had left behind. However, he came around the table and stood before me instead of looking for his stuff. His sparkling, dark jade-green eyes mesmerized me. I wanted to caress his tousled hair, through which he might have threaded his fingers many times. He looked too gorgeous to resist, and I was just a simple woman, head over heels in love with him. All I wanted to do was pull him into my arms and kiss him senseless, the way he did a few days back.
