Lorenzo POV

A moment later, the door opens and Marco walks in.

"She's staying." I say, not wanting to argue or have him making her feel bad.

"What about you two, Lorenzo? I can't have repeats of last night." He looks at me and is clearly worried.

I nod, knowing what he means. "We will work things out. We both fucked up Marco, so don't look at her like she's a bitch. Yes, she said things, but I didn't exactly help, did I?"

"I don't want you getting hurt. So be careful how quickly you let her in this time."

"This time?" I laugh at his words. "I never pushed her out, Marco. She's still very much fucking embedded in my bones."

"Yeah, well, be careful anyway. You scared the fucking shit out of us this morning."

I grin at him. "Always knew I was your favourite."

"Don't be a prick, I mean it."

"I know, I'm your favourite." I laugh as he groans, muttering in Sicilian. "No, you can't go saying shit in another language,
