Chapter 61. The Truth

Alice POV

"Come on." Lorenzo jumps up and pulls me. I glance towards Luciano. "We're busy, only for a short while." He continues to walk with me dragged along behind him.

He steps into an office and sits. "First, I need to explain what happened in that room."

"Good, as I'm sure you were meant to fuck me, not your hand."

He laughs and pulls me to sit on his lap.

"Not this morning, I mean the day you ran." He continues to laugh.

The day I ran, as in what happened with the woman? I glance at him, feeling uneasy.

"Look, she spoke about how Rocco and others were waiting for me to walk down the street alone. She said they had a plan to make me walk so they could shoot me. Then she just pounced on me, and I pushed her away. I get why you would think it. I had lipstick on me."

Sighing, my head shakes. "Lorenzo, it wasn't the lipstick. It was the fact you said nothing happened, then I saw it. Why not just say?" That is what I don't get.
