Chapter 33. Gone
I walked into the building with Roxy on my arm and was so happy when I finally got to walk away from her. She kept talking away in shit that had nothing to do with her. Now, though, she's far enough away from me that I can forget about her. At least for now. I'm regretting the choice to enter this engagement. I mean, I agree with marrying for business, but the longer I spend with Roxy, the more I hate her. She didn't seem too bad to begin with, but in recent months, she's got worse and more possessive.
I watch Lorenzo, each move, each kick, each jab. I'm proud of how fucking amazing he is doing. His eye is bleeding, but nothing major. His opponent, however, is sluggish. After that first jab that Lorenzo connected, he's slower. It's giving Lorenzo the chance he needs to get in the hits. It's good; it means he will win; even this early, I can tell he is going to take home this belt.
"Fucking fists up!" Our father shouts, and I turn to him.
