Chapter 77. Caiu
I walk out and through, instantly I hear his laugh. The thick Sicilian accent is unmissable. I hear his muttering about incompetence and lack of knowledge of the Sicilian language. It makes me smile. My brothers were not good students when it came to learning new languages. English was about the only one they can manage or are willing to learn.
"Benvenutu Caiu." I nod to him, watching as his soldiers help him stand. He leans forward kissing both my cheeks. His smile widens, and he looks at my brother switch humour.
"Marco, unn’è la to’ bedda sposa? Un salvadurinu!" He glances to Lorenzo. "Non sapi nenti di sicilianu, mancu di talianu."
Laughing, I nod. "My brothers are stubborn in learning new languages, even their own birthright one." I explain, and he chuckles and nods.
