Chapter 42

"Let's be clear on one thing: despite the fuss that you made about him having only one bed, you still went to sleep next to your husband in the exact same bed that is in question." Kaira was reluctant to talk to her cousin about what took place last night since, as she had anticipated, he had no intention of making things any easier for her.

"Yes, Enzo. We slept on exactly the same bed, and we even made out on the very same bed. Just to be clear, though, it didn't ever get to the point where we mustered up the courage to undress one another. We merely exhaust ourselves by kissing one another till we're completely out of breath. Happy now?" She asks slyly, letting him know that she is not pleased with the trajectory that the conversation is taking.

As he attempts to figure things out, a sneaky smirk slowly appears on his face as he inquires about, "So what's going on between you two right now? Like, is this relationship blossoming with real feelings now?"
