Luca summoned Calix and James to report to his office as soon as they arrived at their house, and since Calix knew for certain what his father wanted to discuss with them, he decided not to bring Kaira with him. In this manner, he could figure out what his father's plan of action was with regard to the Lombardi's, and James and he could plan against it if that were the case.

Luca's displeasure is extremely obvious as soon as they enter the office. "It's about time that both of you came back."

"We are here already, so stop the nagging. What do you want to talk about?" was his abrupt response. He does not want to start an argument with his father and ruin what should have been a good day for him with Kaira, but his father is making it hard for him to do just that.
