"What? He joined the Lombardis? Since when?" Calix has just learned the news from his father and has been making an effort not to display some grave emotions at the moment. 

Luca cursed angrily at his son again: "You, stupid son of bitch! This is what I have been telling you about, dammit! You should have been the first to know about this considering that you are the Lombardi heiress's husband. But what are you doing? You're playing and having too much fun with her instead of getting the information I wanted you to have!"

His father is igniting his rage, but he still manages to control his burning desire to hit him. Like his father, he does not like the news, but he is confident that their reasons for disliking it are different.
