Chapter 48. Forgive Me, Aaron
It was late at night. At midnight, I look at the moon and think about him.
After a minute, my body acts on my own. With the slippers I have on my feet, I begin to run towards the moon and try to find the mansion this late at night.
By foot, it was an ass decision.
By the time I reached the gated community, they looked at me from head to toe and got real concerned about my almost dying state. They even offer me water before letting me in, but I kept suggesting it was something important.
As I limp towards the front yard of his mansion, I see Ms. Smyers stationed there, guarding his house. She raises her eyebrows at me, not in surprise but with a look that suggested, "I knew it."
"Where's he..." I gasp for air, bending on my knees.
"He's... inside. Sleeping. Just tell me why did he let me know you'll come running to him ONLY in the midnight?" She says, looking at her subordinate who jumps his shoulders.
"Ms. Smyers please... allow me in—
