Chapter 14. High Hopes

Almost a week had passed in the blink of an eye. And these days, I am often accompanied by Baron. 

Whenever I made new dishes, he was the one I frequently consulted, asking for ideas about making them more palatable and presentable so the customers would like them.

Plus, I told him that some of the food that would be served in the hotel and resort comes from my own recipe. Well, no matter what happens, the business should run and make profits.

As I got to know Baron, he wasn't as scary at all. When I secretly observed him, he was kind and gentle - the perfect contrast to Gavin's character. 

Moreover, he's a funny man and, more importantly, didn't do anything shady just to approach me. 

Like what he told me before, he doesn't seem interested in me. Nonetheless, we're good friends now.
