Chapter 41. Fighting

I burst through the trees and land in a small clearing. Jacob and Hunter follow right behind me.

I’m greeted with chaos and take a moment to scan the area. Realization quickly sinks in there are a lot more intruders than in previous attacks. Usually, when they come, they have a smaller number of werewolves, which we can handle right away. But not this time.

There are at least 30 rogues swarming the area and only about 15 of us, but I don’t let that deter me.

I crouch down, ready to attack. My black glossy fur stands upright as a growl rips through me.

I’m only giving them one warning before I pick my target.

A yelp suddenly rings out as the copter smell of blood fills my nose. My head instantly whips in the direction of the noise.
