“...and these...people that happen to be psychopathic weirdos have us tied up like animals,” a sardonic chuckle, “Yeah, pun totally intended. And only God knows what they’re gonna do to us.”
A sigh followed the words, and then,
“Get us outta here, you motherfuckers! Do you have any idea what you did? Huh?! Kidnapping officers of the law! Y’all will rot for this... I’ll have you thrown into the most savage...”
Raymond’s throbbing head nearly exploded from the outburst, and he threw an arm out blindly, “Shut up!” He groaned.
His hand connected with soft flesh, and the hollering ceased.
“Ow! What was that for?” Harper’s voice sounded bitter.
“That’s for stamping the migraine on,” he grumbled and opened his eyes. His head was level with Harper’s hip, and his hands were pulled into an awkward position behind his back.
He tugged once. It didn’t give. He tugged again. No luck.
