Chapter 195. The Quest

“I had to tell her everything,” Mel said. Jane being trapped in her mind is another lonely place no one wants to be. Mel knew what it feels to be there. She has felt it. All she could do is to wish Jane a well and a safe return. Without Jane finding Daniel, there’s no way Mel could undo what Dary has done.

“Seems like we have visitors.” Ruby peeped through the window. It was dark down there but she could see the glowing green eyes of the ghouls. They are about six of them making their way to the front door.

“Is Dary with them?” Mel asked.

“I can’t see him.” Ruby turned and faced her sister. “Hope the wardens will keep them off?” she asked.

“It will buy us some time, I guess.”

“Then we must be prepared for anything.”
