Chapter 248. Bend the Rules

Just as she was about stabbing Jane, Daniel pounced at Mel intercepting her. Every werewolf knows what silver can do to them; especially when that silver is forged into a dagger by an ancient witch.

Twisting Mel’s arm, Daniel disarmed her.

“Let go of me!” Mel cried out. She’s vulnerable without her powers. No casting of spells or throwing energy blasts. Seeing her sister just watched and did nothing, she rashes at her. “Will you stand and watch your sister treated like this and you do nothing?”

“I’m sorry sis, there’s nothing I can do,” Ruby said putting down her head.

“Don’t be sorry for me, be sorry for yourself.”

At Jane’s command, Izo came and took Mel away. Ruby was touched by the way her sister was dragged into the castle. She couldn’t hold back her silence. “What will you do to her?” she asked making her way to Jane.

“For now she will be locked in the dungeon until I think of a suitable punishment.”
