Chapter 263. No Feelings

Thinking she was getting the book, Alice disappointed them when she threw an energy blast with her wand at them. It’s not the book of doom she made her way to pick but her magic wand carved in form of a serpent.

The energy blast was so powerful that it blasted Jane and Mike through the glass sending them outside the shop.

Honestly, this isn’t what Jane expected. Not here for a fight but if Alice wants to fight, she will get her ass kicked. Jane ran back inside but there was no sign of Alice. “Come out and fight me!” she yelled.

Mike reluctantly walks back into the shop. He blames himself for trading the book of doom for a piece of information. “It’s my fault,” he said looking downcast.

“Of course it is.” Jane frowns at Mike. His action isn’t wise enough. Of all the things he could think of trading with the dark witch, it’s the book of doom. They already have enough trouble.
