Chapter 90. Heat Them

The Baroness threw her arms around James and kisses him. “I’ve missed you, my love.”

“I miss you too.”

“Did the messengers get to you?”

“Messengers? No!”

James was informed by the old man. He has not come in contact with any messenger from Wizithon. He has been locked up in the king’s dungeon and he only broke out of there to save the king but at the end of the night, it backfired on him.

“Something is wrong, isn’t it?” She can tell from the look on James’s face. His mood wasn’t bright. She expected him to be in a happy mood seeing her.

“Can we speak privately?”

“Of course.”

Lord Stan and Rabi excused them. The Baroness said in a soothing voice, “What is it, my love?”

“The king feels threatened because of my powers.”

“What really happened?”

“It’s a long story but I believe he will soon send his army after me. I need to find the book of shadows.”

“Book of shadows? What’s that for?”

“It’s
