Chapter 30. Rule Number Five (3)
It spoke to her. He was right. She hadn’t liked the fancy orchestra. She felt like they were a bit stiff, like when her father used to select the music. Aria gave a little chuckle, walking past him to pick up the violin before sitting down next to him to play alongside him.
He watched her as she focused on reading the music to keep up with him. Troy played the piano to amuse people all the time. He’d never had someone play an instrument with him though, for him. Their eyes met as the song ended.
“I liked that,” she confessed.
He smiled.
“I should hope so. I wrote it.”
“Show off.”
He chuckled for perhaps the first time in her presence. How had he never done that in front of her before? How had she known him this long without hearing his amazing laugh?
“You play beautifully. It’s not every day I meet with a woman who plays, well, anything.”
“Thank you. My dad liked listening to me play. He had a horrible fascination with classical music.
