“How do I look?”
Standing in the doorway of his room, in a hunter green, crisscross lace up slip dress that she’d paired with gold heels and a matching clutch purse was Emily.
He smiled like the hopeless man he was. She got so nervous about today that she changed at least ten times in the last two hours.
Every time she barged in to ask for his opinion (once they got past the first time during which he himself was still putting on his shirt) he smiled the same way.
He taught himself to stop looking when he started dating other women, but then he moved into her house and all bets were off.
Aaron could swear that she deliberately went out of her way to progressively wear less and less. Once he convinced himself that he was used to her tiny PJs at the dinner table, she switched to nighties paired with robes, leaving him to wonder how much the thing underneath the robe clad when the robe itself barely covered
