Chapter 33. Deal with Devil Maine (3)

[2018, December 19th]

His breath on her ear made her shudder.

“Just putting the last earring on,” she yelled back, her voice trembling.

“Aren’t you a good girl?” Aaron said next to her ear, before he kissed it.

Her hands flew up to her mouth, to cover it, lest she make some other strange sound that he would no doubt love. Aaron grabbed them and intertwined their fingers.

“Bad Zoey. Make-up, remember?”

“Knock it off! Your sister will be here any minute!”

When the last model that was to go before Zoey returned, Aaron brought his lips up to Zoey’s and said, “Break a leg and remember, just keep your eyes on me.”

He let go of her hands and stepped back just as CC showed up.

“Make-up over here! Goodness, you’re sweating. Calm down, woman.”

Zoey smiled guiltily, looking past CC at Aaron. She looked so mad that Aaron didn’t have a prayer of not laughing. He puckered his lips and blew her a kiss before going to find his seat.
