Chapter 87
Shantelle’s POV
“Hi, Keshon,” I said. She wasn’t looking at me, but I could see Reginald trying his best to get up.
There was something that had happened that I wasn’t aware of, and I didn’t like being in the dark. I had to know what was wrong; this wasn’t funny anymore.
I didn’t think it would be okay to confront her now. Maybe I just needed to be calm with her. Maybe that was the best way this was going to work.
“Hi, you. Are you back from your rendezvous?” Keshon asked, trying her best not to show that she was angry and didn’t want me to know about it. She didn’t know that I had heard everything that mattered.
There was no point in hiding it anymore, but I wasn’t going to tell her that. I wouldn’t want to confront her if I hadn’t heard all she had to say to Reginald. But this was different; she needed time to get her composure back.
That’s why I wasn’t jumping in and asking all the questions that kept ringing in my head.
