Chapter 20
The first sunlight infiltrated the window veil, shining on her face, and she gasped back to reality. At first, her vision was blurry. She closed her eyes, shook her head twice, and opened them again. Finally, she could see again.
She examined the room, wondering where she was, and her brain ransacking where and how she got there. She was inside a small bedroom with a single-window.
She was lying on top of a huge bed with her hands chained together. She was still wearing the black trousers from last night, but her blouse had been removed, leaving her with a black singlet.
She shakes her head again, and the past event comes rushing into her brain. It overflows her brain like the Nile River, causing her a great headache in the process.
She could remember how the electrified council had captured her, tortured her, and asked her to comply with them. She could remember the series of punches from Sinbad Bernard and his men.
