They heard Emma’s voice, and Marissa jumped up like her pants were on fire as she hurried toward the direction of his voice at the back door.
“There you are, my boy. Aren’t you looking quite dapper?” She said as she hugged him with a sigh, sending up thanks to the heavens that she was able to dodge Henrietta’s question.
“Mummy, dapper means fine, right? One uncle called me that the other day, and I asked my class teacher; she said it means fine,” Emma asked as he leaned back in his mother’s embrace to look at her face.
