“Bernard, hold on. Here, help me with this; my earring has snagged in my hair,” Tomiwa shouted at him as she teetered towards him in her high heels.
Bernard shook his head as he turned to her. “How is it even possible for an earring to snag in your hair? Is that costly human hair of yours not purportedly meant to be so glossy that nothing can stay in it?”
Tomiwa gave him a look and told him not to start with her, as all she needed was for him to do as he had been asked.
Bernard unsnagged the earring, and by the time he turned back to resume his delayed entrance, Marissa had gotten to his parents and was greeting them warmly with a genuine smile as they greeted her with great admiration.
