Chapter 309. Near Death's Door

They were silent in the car, both preoccupied with their twin disturbing thoughts. Marissa found a place to park in the parking lot as they got to the hospital and she led Tomiwa to the wing where they were.

“My friend, do not fret so much. Our God is not a wicked God ad everything He does is good” Ms. Onwurah’s voice could be heard outside the I.C.U room as they approached it. Marissa nodded her head at Tomiwa at the questioning look in the latter’s eyes.

Tomiwa dropped the wheel bag she had been helping Marissa with and took the corner that lead to the unit in a rush. They grew silent as they heard the clattering sound of her heels as she approached the unit. She saw them all seated in front of the I.C.U. and the first person her eyes landed on was Mrs. Onwurah.
