Chapter 324. Children's Welfare or Not
She sighed again as she turned her head to stare at the wall. She had gotten used to this one-sided conversation now, or at least it could be said that she was getting better at it. She remembered how often she teared up that first month when she would expect him to respond to her whenever she talked. She would stare intently into his eyes, his hands, and his legs. Her eyes roved over him as she talked to see if he was responding as the doctor told her. Tears would prick her eyes after another such frustrating session. Gradually, she had gotten to the stage where she could speak with him without crying or dripping on him as she implored him to get up and look at her, even if it was just once.
