I played with the swivel chair I sat in for a while waiting for Steven. At first, he didn’t want to do what I told him. But I forced him until he said yes. My eyes roamed around the whole room. Even Kameron’s office is boring.

I immediately sat up straight out of shock when I heard a knock. But my shoulder instantly fell when I saw Jaxsen, not Steven. I saw how his eyes went through what I was wearing before they returned to my eyes.

“Expecting someone?” he asked with a frown.

“Yes!” I answered mockingly… telling him honestly. “What are you doing here? It’s as if you didn’t tell me you love someone else?!”

“Jealous?” A wide grin appeared on his lips.

“I’m just irritated by the way you look. Is it forbidden?” I answered, full of sarcasm.

“Whatever.” He rolled his eyes. “Where’s your secretary?” And his eyebrows rose.
