Chapter 64
“Don’t you have any plans, Jian?” Steven’s baritone voice woke me up to reality.
He asked about Savi. We saw her talking to a fellow teacher, but she didn’t see us. Here we are now on our way back to my office. I miss this, the type we used to go to school together. We will eat together. We will also go home together. But why does it seem like something is different now?
I shook my head. “The wedding is coming up, Steven. So I don’t have any plans to play with—”
“Why? Are you going to let it go?”
His voice had a trace of irritation; even though it was loud, I caught it. I silently gulped. But why am I afraid of him?
I grinned when I looked at him. “I’m tired of playing games with Savi, and after that, I’ll also win in the end, so…” I shrugged.
“Get rid of her.” He said intently.
“Of course,” I chuckled. “Just wait—”
He shook his head. We both stopped when we were in front of the door; I frowned at how he shook his head.
