I went all over the ground floor calling and looking for her; not finding her anywhere only worsened my mood. It wouldn’t be the first time she slipped away.
My nose became disoriented; the house smelled like us and it was very difficult for me to distinguish one trace from another, but everything made a little more sense when I caught the strong scent of baby perfume in the frame of the dog door, at the exit from the kitchen.
