Belle’s POV

“It’s eleven o’clock, but you’re still not here,” I grumble as I sip my beer and check my phone. I haven’t returned to the bar since I left. With my superpower hearing, I should avoid being in a noisy environment.

“Great, Belle! It’s your birthday, but here you are, sitting in the dark place, alone,” I murmured and sighed.

The mobile phone rang while the lights turned on and off.

“Great, we’re having so much fun,” I lied, hoping he wouldn’t notice.
