Chapter 8

“Hey, come back!” Zeke calls Belle.

He’s been on her back since she came out of the house.

But the girl is so immersed in the sounds in her headset that she didn’t even look back when Zeke turned a few calls.

He ran quickly to pursue the girl, ignoring some students who called his name.

Meanwhile, Belle was stopped from entering her classroom by Carl.

“Nerd! You think you can get away from me because someone helped you at the welcome party!”

Belle winced as Carl tightened his grip on her arm and dragged her against the wall.

“Ouch! Carl, stop! You are hurting me! I don’t know what your problem is!” Belle tries to reason, but Carl gets even angrier.

“Did you know I had to pay everyone who had a copy of my video that night just to get rid of the embarrassment I endured with that man?”
