Chapter 30

“What are you doing there honey?” I heard mom’s voice as the door closed.

I turned away from the window and went to sit on the bed. I sighed and looked at mom.

“You know, I was just staring outside as usual to feed my eyes at the beautiful serene. You went to see the doctor right? What was it about?” I asked mom.

“Oh, that? I went to check up on the guy that saved your life. He is in a stable condition but he is still sleeping because of the sedatives he was given. And I also went to pay for his hospital bills.” Mom explained with a small smile.

“Really mom? Wow, that’s a relief. I have been so worried that I could not even sleep properly.” I took in a deep breath with my hand on my chest.

“I know, right? I was worried too. And I heard no one has come to visit him since he was brought into the hospital. I wonder if he does not have a family that is worried about him,” Mom said and sighed.

I felt pity for him and also felt bad.
