“This is enough prove Lauren. Why would you and Caden come home separately and even before you ended your honeymoon? Now, explain to me what was the personal issue that you and Caden had that made you come home separately.” Grandpa stated.

I looked at Caden but he removed his gaze from me and stared up at the ceiling.

Everybody was looking at me and it made me uncomfortable.

“I’m telling them the truth.” I moved closer to Caden and whispered.

He looked right back at me at once and shook his head negatively. I batted my eyelashes and shook my head negatively.

“Grandpa, it was Caden’s fault,” I started with a sad look. “He—”

“I got her pregnant! I meant Lauren is pregnant!” Caden caught me off and blurted out in a haste, the dumbest thing I have heard as a lie.

Caden’s grandparents eyes widened from shock to excitement.

“Why did you not tell us that you are pregnant?” Grandma smiled as she walked up to me.
