Chapter 47

I got tasty and I decided to get some water.

Just as I got to the dinning room, I saw Lauren sneaking into the kitchen like she was some thief.

I shook my head and quietly walked up to her.

“What are you doing?” I asked calmly but my voice sounded loud because of the darkness and quietness.

She was shocked and the can water she was holding fell and hit her leg.

“Ouch!” She winced and leaped closer to the fridge.

I walked closer to her and pinned her to the fridge.

Even in the dark, I could see her face especially her eyes that shone brightly. She gulped down and placed one of her hands in my chest.

“Why are you avoiding me?” I asked her as my breath fanned her neck.

“What are you talking about? Who is avoiding you? Me?” She rushed her words and she sounded rather nervous.

“Why are you avoiding me after being nice to me this morning?” I asked her softly.

Her eyes bore into mine.
