Chapter 51

LESLIE

I decided to prepare a quick lunch to take to him in his office. It was my own way of saying thank you to him for letting me stay at home.

I packaged everything and placed them inside the lunch box and made my way out of the house.

Just as I was about to open my car, I stopped and sighed. I looked at the lunchbox in my hand and sighed again.

I suddenly thought about what Caden might take up from this kind gesture. He might think I like him and I was doing it because I wanted us to be close. He might think of this as a display of my affection and I did not want that.

I noticed how disappointed he was when he realized that I was not the one that made the hangover soup.

I did not want him to think about this as something else so, I changed my mind. I walked back into the house.

I took the lunchbox to the kitchen. My phone buzzed in my back pocket trouser where I kept it.

I took it out and there was a message from an unknow
