Chapter 49. Bonding With All

The next morning, her dad arrived with Henrietta right before breakfast. Iris ran into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"I'm so glad to see you, dad," she said.

"Me too, Iris," he said holding her close. "You're looking good. I can see that Nick Taylor has been taking care of you well," he said, as Nick came forward with a goofy smile on his face.

"Come here, son," he said, calling him. Nick went to him and her dad hugged him too, while Nick colored a little. His friends wiggled their eyebrows at him from behind Porty's back. Henrietta hugged Iris, and she hugged her back. Iris didn't ask about her wedding with her dad since it wasn't an appropriate time and place for personal questions.
