Chapter 22. Asking Her to Marry Him

After dinner, Aurora and Allison helped with the dishes. Even Daxton loitered around the kitchen, helping them. He was waiting for an opportunity to get Aurora all to himself. Daxton wanted to ask her what she meant by her controversial answer. He also wanted to continue with that unfinished kiss. But it seemed luck wasn't favoring him at all as Aurora was always with someone or the other and never alone.

After the dishes were done, they went into the nursery. Daxton went to his room with a sulk. He had a presentation to prepare for the next day.
