Chapter 69. Patching up with Her Dad

Aries stopped the car in front of the sprawling main house just as the door opened and Asher and Adrian emerged. They stopped in their tracks, seeing Andrea after so many months. 

“Annie?” said Adrian with disbelief, his face breaking into a smile while Asher rushed inside to give everyone the good news. Adrian embraced her, relieved to see her after such a long time. 

“Adrian, it feels good to be home,” said Andrea, hugging him back. 

“Finally, you’re home,” he said when Andrea’s mom came rushing out. He released her and went forward to welcome Aries while Andrea’s mom stopped in her tracks, seeing her daughter right in front of her suddenly. After the phone call, when Andrea hadn’t called back, her mom had stopped, hoping that she would be interested in coming home to see them. Her eyes met with Aries and she smiled at him to thank him for bringing her home.
