Chapter 39. A New Friend

Ashley’s POV

I don’t know how the dinner ended but it was a bit awkward and I didn’t have the chance to say what I really wanted to the Alpha King. He seemed to have manipulated the topic which is discussed around the table and Vincent did not even give a hint of the issue that I wanted to talk with his father. It was a bad idea thinking that I could communicate my way out of the two most powerful wolves that I’ve known.

Five long years have passed and yet this creatures treat me like nothing happened. It feels like they knew that I was gonna come back.

“Are you alright Ash? Please let me know if there is anything that I could help you with.”

Carmela whispered beside my ear, which is funny because we both know that the wolves could hear everything she says. As they have a very sensitive hearing abilities. I’m sure they were listening to us.

“Yes I am, however there is something that I’d like to ask you if you don’t mind.”
