Jack’s POV

I still couldn’t believe what happened, when Carmela was shot with a silver bullet straight to the heart and my whole body shook when she collapsed in my arms. Motionless, cold and with a dead heartbeat. It hit me like a sharp spear, her pain was mirrored in mine that it made me difficult to breathe. I only grunted loudly like a wolf injured in its weakest spot.

I am losing my mind out of resentment to the woman who caused her pain. I could kill Freyah for this! I swear I will rip her heart out!
