Chapter 20. Just a Drink

Vincent’s POV

It was a few minutes after Maleficus left me in my room that I decide to stay out in the balcony to fill my lungs with some fresh air and a glass of vodka in my hand. Watching the clear night sky did not give me a restful evening for I know somewhere my father and the warrior wolves of the Royal Pack is fighting the rogues.

I exhaled deeply and gulp down all the distilled liquor inside my goblet. The heat of the liquor just give enough warmth to make my feelings temporarily disappear. If Maleficus did not warn me to follow my father’s orders I might have already left the palace by now.

Standing in the balcony with just my sweat pants on, I place the empty goblet above the flat steel railings before letting my gaze run around the surroundings in front of my room. A tiny movement from the tall screening plants across the lands covering the front view of my bedroom have caught my attention.
