Chapter 22. An Injured King

Vincent’s POV

Being disturbed by the commotion inside the palace is a good thing, before I could do something to the girl that I might regret. Now I can feel my father’s presence in the air, he’s here! The warriors and the Alpha King must have finished fighting the rogues.

My body froze for a few seconds before I finally decided to put on something decent to wear and see what’s going on. The fight in town must have been over and the warrior wolves are home. I took a clean grey shirt and put it on top of my dark jeans.

But before I open the door of my room to get out, my eyes gaze back towards the bed once more. Looking at the sleeping figure of a girl that made my heart flutter for the first time in my life. I took a deep breath in and gritted my teeth, this is not the time to feel a stupid crush over some random human girl. However, deep inside of me a voice is telling she’s no ordinary girl. My own father wants her to be protected.
