Chapter 23. An Awkward Morning

Ashley’s POV

I wake up from the blinding lights of the sun coming from the window with the curtains drawn out on the sides. My right arm promptly covered my eyes as I sat up from the huge bed. The bed of Prince Vincent.

“Good morning Ash! I’m glad you’re awake, Prince Vincent is expecting you for breakfast at the small dining room down the hall from the maid’s quarters.”

I removed my hand from covering my eyes and look at the person who is talking. It is Clarita taking the glasses from the glass table and walking back and forth inside the room.

“Oh! Good morning Clarita.”

I cleared my throat, embarrassed of my state. The clothes I am wearing is the same as the one I have on yesterday before I decided to sneak out of the palace. Which unfortunately did not happen because the prince caught me.
