The cabin was dirty, but it looked so cozy.

Will stared at it all, almost as if he were mourning something he had lost, reliving the past in his head. I understood what he was feeling. Losing someone so important to you is the most painful thing a person can experience.

The pain they go through can be described as falling into an abyss of eternal longing. That’s why they are always together. A shifter family could have over five members; the tightness of it all makes it easier to get through a loss.
