Chapter 13. The Letter from the West

“What’s that love?” Elina asked, concerned.

I lowered the letter and looked at Thoren. “Who sent this?”

“The pack leader, Crimson ridge. Look at the seal.” He pointed to the seal at the middle of the letter. “The same one that wanted his son in exchange for his daughter.”

“She’s here now?”

Thoren nodded excitedly. He lowered his voice. “I wasn’t sure what you’d prefer to do with her so she’s at the building close to the main gates, in the old handmaiden’s base.”

I scanned through the letter again. “How ridiculous…….”
